Connective Records proudly presents a masterful achievement by one of the most talented musicians in Sweden – Martin Sjöstedt. Martin’s well known to the public as one of the hardest working bass player’s in Europe with collaborations with artists like Joe Lovano, Joey Calderazzo, Peter Erskine, Bobo Stenson, Viktoria Tolstoy, just to mention a few. He have a history of two records released as a band leader but what makes this release unique is that this record presents Martin Sjöstedt as an excellent piano player. Together with a well-selected ensemble from Germany, Sweden and Denmark he performs his own music reflecting his impressions from different parts of the world as Latin America, North America, Africa and Europe.

His piano playing is filled with gorgeous harmonies, shifting rhythms and an astonishing technique. Featuring two of his musical partners from Sweden, saxophone player Karl-Martin Almkvist and drummer Johan Löfcrantz Ramsay together with Germanys most excellent trumpet player Axel Schlosser and Danish bass player Daniel Frank, Martin has managed to form a most creative ensemble, able to mediate his intentions.
